As a victim of juvenile crime, allow this information to serve as a notice of process for a new arrest.
An arrested juvenile will be scored for release the following business day, using a risk assessment tool. If the risk assessment score indicates a release from detention, the juvenile is released and will receive a future arraignment date. If the risk assessment score does not indicate a release from detention, the juvenile will be arraigned that afternoon.
- A new arrest scoring a release from detention, will be released that afternoon. If you provided contact information to the arresting officer, you will be contacted by the court, notifying you of this release.
- A new arrest not scoring a release, will be arraigned that afternoon. Arraignments are scheduled at 1:30 p.m. at the Stark County Family Court. Be aware, at the Arraignment hearing the court will decide whether the alleged juvenile offender continues to be held in detention pending the next court date, or the alleged juvenile offender is released from detention pending the next court date.
