P.I.P.E. stands for Public Involvement/Public Education. This committee consists of representatives from the cities, villages, townships, and county. This committee meets 3-4 times a year to review and coordinate the stormwater program. They share ideas, themes, activities, and costs in an effort to promote a consistent message throughout the county in regard to stormwater.
Currently the participants include: Stark County Regional Planning Commission, the cities of Alliance, Canton, North Canton, village of East Canton, Jackson, Perry, Plain Townships, and the county Health Department, Park District, and Soil & Water Conservation District. Residents are encouraged to share their input as well.
