Smoke-Free Ohio Program
The Smoke-Free Ohio Workplace Law has been in effect since 2006. Public places are banned from smoking in enclosed spaces. To comply with the regulation, establishments must prohibit smoking, remove ashtrays, and post “No Smoking” signs. A smoking complaint from the general public will be investigated by the local health jurisdictions. To file a complaint, please call 866-559-OHIO (6446).
Vaping is now prohibited in all places where state law prohibits smoking. The 2021 Biennium Budget Bill included language which now includes vape use as part of the smoking ban.
