SCRPC administers Stark County's adopted Subdivision Regulations in the UNINCORPORATED areas of the county. The current Subdivision Regulations became effective August 8, 2018. The Planning Department handles planning administration for the county and is responsible for:
- Review of preliminary and final plats in accordance with the Stark County Subdivision Regulations
- Coordination of site improvement plan reviews
- Review and processing of administrative waivers of subdivision review
- Processing of Divisions of Property without Plat in unincorporated areas (lot splits)
- Preparation of staff recommendations on township zoning amendments
- Recommendations to County Commissioners on proposed street vacations
- Administration of the County House Numbering Department
